Program Information


Philosophy


The Master of Architecture Program (International Program) emphasizes advanced architectural design and research that apply traditional wisdoms and body of knowledge to solve current and future problems and respond to present and future contexts. The program provides learning experiences that allow students to explore between Thai and Japanese environmental and cultural contexts and enable graduates to collaborate in international working conditions.

Objectives


To enables graduates to:
  1. Research and apply architectural body of knowledge in technology, urban environment and human behavior for design.
  2. Collaborate in advanced architectural design practice responding to technological, urban environmental, and human behavioral contexts.
  3. Develop learning achievements according to the program learning standard (TQF) in ethics, knowledge, intellectual skills, interpersonal relationship, responsibility, quantitative analysis, communication and information technology.

The Master of Architecture International Program foster students to explore through the parallel universe of:
  • Design and research
  • Traditional wisdom and innovation
  • Intuition and body of knowledge
  • Conservation and futurism
  • Thailand and Japan
To competently be able to solve technological, environmental and human-behavioral problems in the international level of professional practice.

Study Plan



Type 2 (Plan A Type A2) Joint Degree Program


Joint Degree Program is a collaboration between the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University, Thailand and the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan. 2-year program with 1 semester (up to 6 months) at Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan.

Degree Requirements: a minimum of 44 credits
Tuition Fee: 75,000 Baht per semester (4 Semesters)



Type 2 (Plan A Type A2) Chiang Mai University Degree Program


2-year program of Master of Architecture Program (International Program) in Chiang Mai University and International Joint Project of Architecture Design in Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan for 2 weeks.

Degree Requirements: a minimum of 40 credits
Tuition Fee: 45,000 Baht per semester (4 Semesters)
