Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy has organized ฺBuilding Energy Code (BEC) Awards Ceremony 2019. 137 trophies and 17 labels of energy conservation building that reaches BEC standard in 2019 were awarded. In this occasion, Chiang Mai University has won the energy conservation building with the label of the excellent level (the building saves the energy up to 50-70%). Doi Kham Animal Health Center, the Faculty of Veterinary, Chiang Mai University has reached the standard the building system design. The assessment result showed that comparing to the reference building, the building saves the energy from 30% upwards. Dr. Ekkachai Mahaek, the Vice President of Chiang Mai University and the Head of Master of Architecture Program in Architecture (International Program), the Faculty of Architecture had participated and received the trophy at the event at Cattleya 1 Room, Rama Gardens Hotel Bangkok on July 22, 2019.
